Many people use oatmeal as there main treatment. This is good because the fats in oatmeal will help to lubricate skin and keep it hydrated. Oatmeal can be used as a compress, in a bath or it can be eaten to help the body. The oatmeal bath is a fairly simple process and a cheap method to use.

Other natural treatments involve using slippery elm, white oak bark, licorice extract and blueberry leaves. Most of these have minerals them that will help the skin in several ways. They will help to cleanse the skin, reduce irritation and inflammation, kill germs on the skin and help to tone the skin. They can all be purchased in a natural store.
