IQ tests are important, but they only determine how capable a person can be according to the amount of knowledge they acquire. Regardless if they are high in spatial, interpersonal, intrapersonal, musical, naturalist, bodily kinesthetic, linguistic, or logical mathematical intelligence, it only determines a part of their abilities.

This aids in determining how capable a person is in coping to environmental stress. Even though a person has high intelligence quotient results, it will not be an assurance that he will not give up on his job. IQ tests only determine the ability of the individual according to spatial interpersonal, special, intrapersonal, naturalist, musical bodily kinesthetic, logical mathematical or linguistic intelligence.

A person might be intelligence in science but does not have the ability to combat stress. A person could be high in interpersonal intelligence according to the multiple intelligence scale and can mingle well with people, but when receiving negative feedbacks from them, he immediately quits the job. That means he is not emotionally fit for the environment.

Emotional intelligence results determine how well a person can cope up in a fast paced environment without any signs of emotional breakdowns. For example, if a person is assigned in a sales department, which requires a strong personality and marketing character to perform his or her job well. However, after a week, he or she developed anxiety disorder because of encountering numerous reprimands as a part of their training.

Having mental disorders is natural reaction to people who are mentally unprepared for these events. We encounter a lot of stressors everyday and it will be up to us how to cope up. Some people are mentality stable and some are not.

Being emotionally matured for your assigned job description is very advantageous for your part. Some companies consider this certification as a good qualification since they are looking forward for the possibility that the applicant might be a future asset in the company. Thus, go to your nearest psychologist and ask for a detailed assessment.

To avoid turnovers, companies are making sure that they hire the best applicant for their company. Their personalities must match the demands of the job. Also, as a human being, it is our tasks to take care of our mental health. Self unawareness is dangerous. Mental health is always a factor in employment.
