Sourness, cramping or lameness can be brought about when your pony is ailing or injured. This can be a big concern for the owner thus it is important to know some few skills that you can use to alleviate the pain. You can use several supplements, and painkillers or home remedies for the treatment and the pony can recover fast if you use the best equine Pain Relief AntiInflammatory. The following steps will guide you to treat your pony at home.

To begin with, you are supposed to make sure that any inflammation on the foot of the horse is reduced. The swelling can be reduced by allowing the pony to rest depending on with the extent of the injury. If the horse has a serious injury, you are required to allow it to rest for a few weeks or months, but for a small sprain, the pony can rest for 2-5 days.

While the pony is resting, you are required to give it a simple hydrotherapy procedure that will reduce the swelling in the limbs that were injured. This can be done by running cold water from a pipe directly on the limb for about 20 minutes either once or twice each day. The cold water usually reduced the heat around the area that is swollen thus reducing cramping or lameness.

If the steed is suffering from lameness on the lower limb, you might try hot tubbing to soften the tissues and help in drawing out the infection. This is usually done by immersing the foot of the horse in a bucket of hot water about 38 degrees Celsius that contains some salt. The water will soften the foot, and it can allow the infection to drain.

A Hot fomentation is also applicable in cases where there are infections or abscess. You are advised to apply poultice at the swollen part so that the inflammation can be reduced. Nevertheless, a treatment is recommended to be used after exercising the horse so that it can actively be absorbed when applied on foot.

The above procedures can be used in combination with pain-relieving drugs that are used to quickly and actively reduce swelling, inflammation, and cramping. Analgesics are especially very good for the horses especially if it is going through excruciating agony. Therefore, one is advised to use the drug if the home remedy does not work quickly.

If the pony is suffering from mild cramping, you can use aspirin that is also very effective in relieving the mild inflammation, discomfort, and swelling. If the inflammation has caused the plug to have a fever, it is important to administer some medications that will ease the cramping and fever. The medications can be combined with steroids and other drugs.

The drugs are usually combined with steroids, and they can heal the plug within a few days depending on the intensity of the malady. Cyclooxygenases as supplements are also highly recommended as they usually reduce swelling or inflammation. Caution should, however, be taken because the drugs may be having adverse side effects that may be harmful to the pony if they are used for long.
